A useful loudness check with clear limits

The meter uses the same 48 kHz K-weighting coefficients and two-pass integrated-loudness gate used by StudioEditor’s render analysis, with continuous filter state across the file.

Integrated LUFS describes average program loudness more usefully than waveform height or a single peak. Compare it with a delivery reference, then listen before deciding whether gain or dynamics should change.

The peak result is sample peak rather than oversampled true peak. Use a calibrated compliance meter when a regulated broadcaster requires certified measurement.

What is integrated LUFS?

It is a gated, K-weighted estimate of average perceived loudness across the measured program, expressed relative to full scale.

Does the meter upload my audio?

No. Decoding, resampling when needed, filtering, and measurement all run in the current browser.

Is the peak value true peak?

No. It is sample peak in dBFS. True-peak measurement oversamples between stored samples and can report a higher value.

Which files are supported?
